Solo Exhibit

I am pleased to invite you to view my work at Bloomingdales in the Mall of America. This is an invitational solo exhibit and will be on display through January 7.

Also I will be open for First Thursday (Dec 4) in my studio in the Northrup King Building in NE Minneapolis from 5-9 p.m. For a map go to www.northrupkingbuilding.com. If you haven’t ever attended this event, you will be surprised at all the studios and art you will get to see in uncrowed conditions. Tons of visual fun!

Won people’s choice and 2nd place

I won People’s Choice and Second Place Award In the Lake Country Annual Membership Exhibition athe Minnnatonka Center for the Arts. The exhibit was for the month of November and the winning painting was Granny’s Good Morning Hug.

I won Honorable Mention for the painting The Box is More Fun Than the Present in the Lake Country Pastel Juried Exhibit. The exhibition was held in the Robbins Gallery in Robbinsdale, MN. Other work, Birthday Girl, was also accepted for the exhibition.

MY PAINTINGS SELECTED FOR INTERNATIONAL AND NATIONAL EXHIBITS

My painting, Nude Pregnant Woman, oil on paper, has been selected to be included in Au Naturel: The Nude in the 21st Century, an international juried exhibition presented by and shown at the Art Center Gallery of Clatsop College in Astoria, Oregon. The exhibition will be held March 15- May 15.
This exhibition attracts artists from around the world whose work is exemplary of contemporary figurative drawing, painting, and printwork. Margaret Bullock, Curator of Collections and Special Exhibitions at the Tacoma Art Museum juried this year’s exhibition. Bullock carefully selected 68 pieces from over 360 submitted works of art. Submissions came from around the world, and work selected covers 4 continents.
I was also fortunate to have a pastel painting, Granny’s Morning Hug, selected for Pastel National 2008, a national juried pastel exhibition at the Wichita Art Center in Wichita KS. The exhibit is March 14 through May 18th.
